Introduction

Corki is a marksman with a large amount of poke and decent mobility that is only strengthened when he aquires "The Package." He is a strong sieging champion with his ultimate and is still a decent duelist thanks to his machine gun and passive.

Abilities

Passive – Adrenaline Rush

Passive – Hextech Munitions

Hextech Shrapnel Shells: Corki's basic attacks are permanently modified to deal 50% AD physical damage and 50% AD magic damage.

The Package: After 8 minutes have passed, The Package is delivered to both corners of Corki's fountain, which he can pick up after channeling for 1 second. Doing so grants him one cast of Special Delivery within the next 60 seconds, as well as 40% bonus movement speed out of combat prior to the ability being cast, after which The Package goes on cooldown before being delivered again.

Q – Infected Cleaver

Q – Phosphorous Bomb

Corki launches a bomb at the target area, dealing magic damage to enemies hit. The bomb reveals the area as it travels and for 6 seconds afterwards, as well as all affected enemies.

W – Burning Agony (Toggle)

W – Valkyrie

Corki dashes to the target location, dropping bombs that leave up to 3 blazing patches along his path, depending on the distance traveled

The fire lasts for 2 seconds, dealing magic damage to enemies that remain in the area every half-second, for a maximum of 5 ticks of damage.

Special Delivery: Corki dashes to the target location with extreme speed, knocking aside all enemies he hits while leaving behind a trail that lasts 5 seconds, slowing enemies within by 90% and dealing magic damage.Casting Special Delivery instantly resets Valkyrie's cooldown.

E – Masochism

E – Gatling Gun

Corki activates his gatling gun and sprays bullets in a cone in front of him for 4 seconds, dealing equal parts physical and magic damage every quarter-second and reducing his targets' armor and magic resistance each tick, stacking up to 8 times, lingering for 2 seconds after last being damage.

R – Sadism

R – Missile Barrage

Corki stores a charge of Missile Barrage periodically, up to a maximum of 7 at once, and starts with 7 missiles every time he respawns.

Corki fires a missile in a line that explodes if it hits an enemy, dealing magic damage to nearby ones. Every third missile Corki fires is a Big One, dealing 50% additional damage and doubling its explosion range.

Our Top Counter Tips For Corki

Stand further away from Corki if you can help it, during the early game. It gives you more time to dodge his Phosphorus Bomb.

If Corki's Phosphorus Bomb is on cooldown, he's significantly less threatening than normal. You can punish him for it.

When Corki gets the package, play conservatively. You're better off giving up lane presence than allowing him to engage on you with it.

Corki is a caster, anytime one of his abilities are down, you can punish his cooldowns and put him on the back foot.

Thresh

He cancels Corki's mobility with flay and that can just lead to death way earlier than Corki needs it. Note that he does have a high skill cap, but when a Thresh player is competent, Corki's life becomes hard.

Draven

Move your axes within the minion wave and hit him. Creep block is more of a threat to Draven than Ezreal is. Even if he manages to get some hits in on you, you lifesteal a lot with just a Dorans blade, and when you come back with a vamp scepter it'll get even worse. Ezreal can never outtrade Draven while his axes are live, so he just has to sit back and pray that he doesn't allow Draven to cash in on his stacks.

Annie

She just has the constant threat and damage to force valkyrie's, at six she can just kill him, all she really has to do is hit him with stun empowered abilities and avoid his skill shots, then punish him with all of her point and click abilities.

Introduction

Ezreal is a mobile skillshot reliant AD Carry that, while being mana reliant, can do some of the highest damage in the game if played optimally. He has access to a nonflash blink which makes him among one of the safest marksman in the game, and has an ability that lowers his cooldowns if it hits anything, further adding to his safety, mobility and reliability.

Abilities

Passive – Adrenaline Rush

Passive – Rising Spell Force

Ezreal gains bonus attack speed for 6 seconds every time he hits an enemy or ally with his abilities, stacking up to 5 times.

Q – Infected Cleaver

Q – Mystic Shot

Ezreal fires a bolt of energy in a line, dealing physical damage to the first enemy hit, and applying on-hit effects. If Mystic Shot successfully hits an enemy, all of Ezreal's ability cooldowns are refreshed by 1.5 seconds.

W – Burning Agony (Toggle)

W – Essence Flux

Ezreal fires a wave of energy in a line, dealing magic damage to enemy champions struck, and granting all allied champions struck bonus attack speed for 5 seconds.

E – Masochism

E – Arcane Shift

Ezreal blinks to the target location, firing a homing bolt that deals magic damage to the nearest enemy.

R – Sadism

R – Trueshot Barrage

After gathering energy for 1 second, Ezreal fires an energy projectile in the target direction, dealing magic damage to enemies it passes through. Each enemy hit reduces the projectile's damage by 10%, down to a minimum 30% damage.

Our Top Counter Tips For Ezreal

Laning against Ezreal is a little easier than against a lot of champions, stand in the minions when the wave is large, and make sure to enforce lane dominance with your damage tools. He doesn't have high damage without his Mystic shot, which cannot go through minions. By the time the minion wave is getting smaller, he should be unable to zone you.

Ezreal must buy a mana item to ensure he doesn't lose his usefulness by going OOM. This item will be a tear. Use the time to takes for the tear to stack to further bully him and try and set him behind. This will keep him behind and stop him from being as useful to his team in any kind of roam or gank, because no one wants to gank for the 25% health Ezreal.

Ezreal is far weaker without access to his Arcane Shift, killing him becomes easier and he's not as mobile and even loses out on a decent portion of his damage. Use this time to finish him off or to engage on him.

Champions That Counter Ezreal

Caitlyn Jhin Counter Champion

Caitlyn

Not only can this champion stand in the minions to mitigate his damage (Like every other champion) she can hit him from there, pelting him with bullets and eventually zoning him thanks to her extreme range. Not only that, but she becomes a late game terror, so delaying Ezreal really works out in her favor as she speeds to her own multi-crit item power spikes.

Yasuo

Miss Fortune

This lady is a walking fountain turret. Stand in your minion wave and punish him for standing in his with Q's. At level six, you can probably just kill him. There isn't much to say about this matchup, she hurts early and he doesn't, so the lane belongs to her, if she doesn't throw it away by running under a tower or something.

All forms of armor are good against Ezreal. If he builds an Iceborn Gauntlet, then Banshees Veil has value as well, since it'll mitigate the first slow. Dead Mans Plate is a good pickup if you find yourself in need of higher chase potential against him, but given how his kit works, that'd likely be a rare situation at best. It's important for true tanks (Ex, Mundo) to note that Mystic Shot does cause Thornmail to do damage to Ezreal, so it can be a worthy pickup since his damage should be coming from his Q and basic attacks

Introduction

Ashe is an immobile, but highly damaging ranged carry champion that comes with innate soft CC in the form of her passive 'Frost Shot'. Her CC allows her high chase potential, and the power to punish mispositioning in lane harder than many other champions.

Ashe also boasts a long range form of engagement in her ultimate, and extra damage from her Q Rangers focus. All of these things mean that an Ashe that can position safetly has an easy time doing damage to people, similarly to an Ezreal with an Iceborn Gauntlet.

Abilities

Passive – Adrenaline Rush

Passive – Frost Shot

Passive - Frost Shot: Ashe's basic attacks and abilities apply Frost to affected enemies, slowing them for 2 seconds and causing subsequent basic attacks against them to deal bonus physical damage while they remain slowed.

Critical Slow: Ashe's critical strikes deal no additional damage, but instead triple Frost's slow strength decaying over 1 second to its normal strength.

Q – Infected Cleaver

Q – Rangers Focus

PASSIVE: While Ranger's Focus is inactive, Ashe is granted Focus for 4 seconds on attack, stacking up to 4 times. After 4 seconds, each stack thereafter will fall off every second.

ACTIVE: For the next 4 seconds, Ashe gains bonus attack speed and causes each of her basic attacks to fire a flurry of five arrows. Each arrow deals modified physical damage that benefits from Frost Shots and life steal, and each flurry triggers on-hit effects only once. Ashe cannot gain Focus while this ability is active.

Ranger's Focus reduces Ashe's basic attack delay to 40% if currently any higher for the next basic attack.

W – Burning Agony (Toggle)

W – Volley

Ashe fires 9 arrows in a cone in the target direction, dealing physical damage to all enemies hit and applying Frost Shot's tripled slow to enemy champions hit.

Enemies can intercept multiple arrows, but do not take damage from arrows beyond the first.

This ability can critically strike but deals no additional damage for the purpose of Frost Shot.

E – Masochism

E – Hawkshot

PASSIVE: Ashe uses a stock system on this ability; she stores a charge of Hawkshot periodically, up to a maximum of 2 stored at once.

ACTIVE: Ashe sends a hawk spirit toward the target location, granting sight of its path for 2 seconds and in a large radius at its destination for 5 seconds. The hawk's sight is not obstructed by brush or terrain.

R – Sadism

R – Enchanted Crystal Arrow

Ashe fires a missile of ice in the target direction. The arrow shatters upon hitting an enemy champion, dealing magic damage. Enemies near the main target also take 50% damage.

The main target is stunned, while nearby enemies are slowed, both for 1-3.5 seconds, based on the distance the arrow traveled.

Our Top Counter Tips For Ashe

Ashe dies very quickly and is immobile without flash. Focusing her gets immediate results.

Ashe is weaker without Enchanted Crystal Arrow, and her ability to engage on anyone is removed, not only can you punish Ashe for this cooldown, but her entire team as well.

Getting a QSS and/or Mikaels has a lot of value against any team composition with Ashe on it, and can save you from a tragic demise at the hands of her ultimate.

Thornmail also has a lot of value, since almost all of her damage comes from auto attacking. You're guaranteed to get something out of this item in teamfights, at the very least it'll force her to buy more Arpen and/or Magic resist.

Champions That Counter Ashe

Azir Counter Tips 3

Blitzcrank

The first Q blows the flash. The second Q kills the Ashe. The ability to speed up to get in position for the Rocket Grab is really what makes this a hard time for Ashe.

Yasuo

Nautilus

See Above. Except Nautilus has targeted CC in his ultimate, so he WILL blow summoners at level 6. Then, his ultimate cooldown is lower than the flash cooldown, so she dies the next time he does it, and his team picks up the kill.

LeeSin Zac Counter Champion

Leona

I'm starting to see a pattern. Leona has extreme amounts of CC and Ashe has extremely few ways to run away. In the late game Leona can keep Ashe nearly permanently CC'd, preventing her from doing damage.

Morgana Alistair Counter Champion

Morgana

She has a large skill shot, an AOE delayed stun and black shield, which is the most painful part for Ashe. Not only does Ashe have to pray to avoid all of Morganas CC, but the Black Shield prevents a target from being stunned by Ashe's ultimate, rendering it useless against a perceptive Morgana.

Items that have value are QSS, Mercury Treads, Mercurial Scimitar and Banshees Veil and armor items. The reality of the situation is that Ashe's slows mean very little against two people, at the same time, the only ability that makes her serious late game teamfighting threat is her ultimate. Unless you just ignore her, but then, any AD Carry will make you sad. The idea is to make her ultimate as difficult to utilize to it's full potential as possible. Obviously spring for armor items for the rest of her damage, but make sure she can't win her team every fight with her ultimate.

Introduction

Jinx is an immobile hypercarry with minimal CC and a passive that gives her movement speed steroid when she destroys almost anything. She scales to be a team fighting terror with her ability to do AOE damage with rockets with the critical strike damage affecting everyone in range and a global execute ultimate, but has a hard time avoiding things like mobile assassins and bruisers without somesort of assistance.

Abilities

Passive – Adrenaline Rush

Passive – Get Excited!

Jinx receives massively increased Movement Speed and stacking Attack Speed whenever she damages an enemy champion, tower, or inhibitor that is then killed or destroyed within 3 seconds.

Q – Infected Cleaver

Q – Switcheroo!

Jinx modifies her basic attacks by swapping between Pow-Pow, her minigun and Fishbones, her rocket launcher. Attacks with Pow-Pow grant Attack Speed, while attacks with Fishbones deal area of effect damage, gain increased range, and drain Mana.

W – Burning Agony (Toggle)

W – Zap!

Jinx uses Zapper, her shock pistol, to fire a blast that deals damage to the first enemy hit, slowing and revealing it

E – Masochism

E – Flame Chompers!

Jinx tosses out 3 chompers that, once armed, explode on contact with enemy champions, rooting the target for 1.5 seconds and dealing Magic Damage over 1.5 seconds to nearby enemies. Chompers last for 5 seconds.

R – Sadism

R –Super Mega Death Rocket!

Jinx fires a super rocket across the map that gains damage as it travels. The rocket will explode upon colliding with an enemy champion, dealing damage to it and surrounding enemies based on their missing Health.

Nearby enemies take 80% Damage.

Our Top Counter Tips For Jinx

Jinx dies really quickly to anyone who can get on top of her with CC. Don't be afraid to take a fight to her, not only do you lessen her damage output in a teamfight, but she's too squishy to survive.

Jinx's minigun takes time to hit it's highest attack speed, this gives you a window of opportunity to punish her if you get on top of her while she's using her rockets. She won't attack as quickly with rockets out, and switching to minigun causes her DPS to dip dramatically, in which time she can be killed

Jinx's laning phase leaves a little bit to be desired, taking a strong laning duo can punish a Jinx pick, simply by virtue of outdamaging her, especially given the fact that her range doesn't increase a lot until she has several points into her Q

Flame Chompers have a high cooldown and are her only innate defensive ability. Punish her lack of defense while they're down.

Champions That Counter Jinx

Azir Counter Tips 3

Draven

He's a powerful laner. If there's anyone that can punish Jinx for not having an amazing laning phase, it's this guy. A good Draven will outdamage her in every trade and force her to play so far back that she falls behind, or will just kill her and force her to fall behind anyway, while he cashes in his passive stacks to get ahead.

Morgana Alistair Counter Champion

Kalista

Not very popular now, but still get against Jinx, she can avoid the Zap and Death Rocket, she can also CC Jinx by hitting her with whoever she soulbound, causing her to do no damage for a time and lose the duel. She's a pretty strong laner on top of that, with her Sentinel passive doing as much damage as it does.

Jax Tryndamere Counter Champion

Leona

At level 3 Jinx has to respect Leona's ability to engage on her, at level 6, Jinx needs to make sure that she has the enemy tower taken, or that she's getting sufficient jungle assistance to ensure that Leona and her AD Carry don't just kill her. This is assuming that Jinxes support isn't something like Morgana. As long as it's not, Leona makes Jinx's life hard, and tilts the lane against her.

Trundle Xin Zhao Counter Champion

Miss Fortune

Miss Fortune is a walking fountain turret, and she can demolish Jinx post six with a Make It Rain/Bullet Time combo. Even before then, she can trade and poke really well thanks to Love Taps and Double Up. Miss Fortune just does too much damage for Jinx to survive, and doesn't have the mobility to avoid her slow/ulti combination.

Introduction

Kalista is a marksman that is unique in the fact that she can soulbind a teammate (Preferably her support) and give them unique abilities when working together. She's also unique in the fact that she cannot cancel autoattacks, instead leaping after the auto is complete thanks to her passive, Martial Poise. Playing Kalista correctly is a team effort, especially since her W's passive allows her to do extra damage if both she and her support hit the same target in close enough succession. Kalista has the tools to be a powerful Champion, and one that is dangerously difficult to play against.

Abilities

Passive – Adrenaline Rush

Passive – Martial Poise

Enter a movement command while winding up Kalista's basic attack or Pierce to lunge a short distance when she launches her attack.

Q – Infected Cleaver

Q – Pierce

Hurl a fast but narrow spear that deals physical damage. Triggers Martial Poise (P), Sentinel (W), and Rend (E).If it kills a target, Pierce continues onward, passing all stacks of Rend to the next target

W – Burning Agony (Toggle)

W – Sentinel

Passive - When Kalista is near her Oathsworn, she gains Attack Speed. If they both basic attack the same target, she deals a percentage of their max health as magic damage. 10 second cooldown per target.

Active - Send a soul Sentinel to patrol an unseen area. Champions spotted are revealed for 4 seconds. Sentinels last 3 laps. Kalista gains a charge of Sentinel periodically.

E – Masochism

E – Rend

While Rend is off cooldown, Kalista's spears pierce their target, lingering for 4 seconds.

Rip the spears from nearby targets, dealing physical damage and slowing their Movement Speed for 2 seconds. Each extra spear increases Rend's damage. If Rend kills at least one target, its cooldown is reset. If Rend kills two or more targets, its mana cost is refunded.

R – Sadism

R –Fate's Call

Draw Kalista's Oathsworn to her. For up to 4 seconds, the Oathsworn is untargetable and pacified. The Oathsworn may mouse click to fly toward target position, stopping at the first enemy champion hit and knocking all enemies in a small radius back. Kalista's Oathsworn must be within 1100 units for her to cast this ability.

Our Top Counter Tips For Kalista

Kalista becomes locked in her auto attack animation when she chooses to do it, she cannot cancel the animation, meaning that initiating a trade while she's mid-auto on a minion can yield good results.

Kalista's jump pathing is usually extremely obvious, especially early. If you have skillshots you can use this to punish her with them, but try not to use them otherwise, since dodging them is easy for her.

Having reliable point and click CC is a good way to deal with Kalista, she has a hard time dealing with champions that have it, since she cannot use her passive to dodge it.

Champions That Counter Kalista

Azir Counter Tips 3

Ashe

This champion hurts Kalista like no other. Her passive Permaslow hurts her mobility, Enchanted Crystal Arrow is hard to dodge because the hitbox is actually the size of the arrows back, and fully stacked Rangers Focus sends Ashes damage skyrocketing above Kalista's while still denying her the ability to run from the fight.

Morgana Alistair Counter Champion

Draven

This guy hurts everyone. He has a skillshot, but it's wide so it's not as easy to dodge, and he doesn't really care about landing it too often anyway. He has an AD steroid that makes his autoattacks hit like trains, and you can't dodge autoattacks. He just won't lose a trade to Kalista, and he won't lose mid-late game duels to her either.

Jax Tryndamere Counter Champion

Talon

He jumps on her and kills her. The end. No real dodgeable skillshots are involved in what Talon does. He uses Rake, but it's wide, and fast, and he may not even need it to kill her anyway. He can neutralize her, and even if he doesn't make it out alive after killing her, he's not upset about it, because, theoretically, his team still has their ADC, he just did his job.

Trundle Xin Zhao Counter Champion

Vayne

It's not the early lane that's hard for Kalista, it's everything after six. Vayne doesn't have a real skillshot she's reliant on. Maybe Condemn in a pinch, but she's just going to outdamage Kalista with straight autoattacks anyway. Vaynes autoattacks do true damage, so not only is Kalista stuck not being able to dodge anything that Vayne has, but she can't hope to even begin to win a duel against this champion, especially not with her utlimate active.

Introduction

Jhin is an immobile AD Carry that packs a powerful punch. He has arguably the strongest burst damage of any AD Carry at any point in the game, especially when his fourth shot is available. His abilities allow him to not only set up kills for his team, but also clean up any low-health enemies remaining after a team fight.

He is also the only AD Carry that always has a set attack speed, and so his windows of power are a bit more predictable than the rest.

Abilities

Passive - Death in 4 Acts

Passive - Death in 4 Acts

Jhin uses an ammo system, consisting of 4 shots. The fourth and final shot before any reload will be a guaranteed crit, although all crit damage is reduced by 25%. In addition, Jhin’s attacks can not be sped up with items or abilities. Instead, it will grant him extra attack damage. Furthermore, when Jhin crits, he gains extra movespeed.

Q - Dancing Grenade

Q - Dancing Grenade

Jhin throws a grenade that bounces up to 5 times, dealing damage to each enemy hit. If the grenade kills an enemy, the rest of the bounces will do increased damage.

W - Deadly Flourish

W - Deadly Flourish

This ability has two parts. First, Jhin gains “Caught Out,” any enemy damaged by him or an ally is marked. Deadly Flourish is a very long range ability that roots the first marked enemy champion hit, otherwise it simply deals damage.

E - Captive Audience

E - Captive Audience

Jhin creates a trap at the target location. When triggered, it slows enemies by 35% and creates a small field. After two seconds, any enemies in the field will take damage. Additionally, a trap will be created around the corpse of any champion killed by Jhin.

R - Curtain Call

Jhin roots himself, and can recast Curtain Call up to four times to fire at his enemies from a great distance. As with his normal attacks, the fourth shot is guaranteed to crit. Curtain Call can be cancelled early, refunding 10% of its cooldown per unused shot.

Our Top Counter Tips For Jhin

Jhin uses an ammo system. Try to force him to use his final attack on a minion, as it’s the most damaging of all.

If you step on a trap or take a hit from an enemy champion, get ready to dodge Deadly Flourish.

Jhin is very immobile, take advantage by asking for ganks, or forcing him to fight constantly (if you’re ahead).

Beware his ultimate, its final shot does incredible damage. It does, however, root him, so that may be an opportune moment to fight if you’re confident you can win.

Dodge his W. Often in the laning phase, if you get hit with it, you die. This is crucial.

Champions That Counter Jhin

Let’s be real here, only 3 or 4 AD Carries are played at the moment: Lucian, Ezreal, Caitlyn, and Jhin. Most of these matchups are decided by the support player, but there are a few things that you can do with each.

Lucian Jhin Counter Champion

Lucian

Unlike most matchups, you don’t want to be the aggressor here. Instead, save your dash to dodge his W, and then feel free to go in and use your combo. Otherwise, you’ll be outranged and outdamaged. The other side of this is if you have an aggressive support with you, then I recommend fighting as soon as humanly possible, as Jhin doesn’t get overwhelmingly powerful until level 4 or 5.

Caitlyn Jhin Counter Champion

Caitlyn

Like Lucian, save your Arcane Shift to dodge his W. Throw out as many Qs as you can at him, poke him down, and then go in and delete him. This is arguably the safest of all his matchups, in my opinion. However, some people will prefer…

Evelynn Jhin Counter Champion

Evelynn

The queen of long-range. You can abuse Jhin with autos and your Piltover Peacemaker, so be sure to take advantage of that. Caitlyn is also incredibly good at shoving the lane in, which causes there to be much less worry of catching a Deadly Flourish when you’re out of position.

Sivir Jhin Counter Champion

Sivir

An honorable mention. I personally feel that Sivir is completely broken (with the right team), and can do a lot of work against Jhin, not to mention every other AD carry. Spell shield his Deadly Flourish and keep him farming under the turret, he’ll be completely useless and you can laugh all the way to the bank with the gold he can’t contest.

Really the only thing you can do as an AD Carry is, well, build like an AD Carry builds. There’s little to no variation in the builds of an AD Carry right now, which is infuriating to a great many people. Stick with the build you know - changing it up won’t help.
